The Challenge:
The roof on this building was leaking into the office space below. Ideally, the solution would have been to strip and replace but with the office being used daily between 7am to 5pm, this was not an option. After consulting with SIG, we proposed that the existing roof was left in place and work commenced to over-skin the roof using an Ash & Lacy Bar and Bracket System.
Ronnie Clark M I o R, met up with the SIG Technical Rep Kevin Rae, on site to talk through the potential solution that would enable minimal disruption to the business owner so that trading in the offices could continue. Measurements were made at this visit for the sheeting, bar, and bracket system and for fabricated flashings ready to install on arrival. A quotation was provided following the site visit and on acceptance the order we placed our order, with SIG Bolton to supply. SIG also supplied data sheets, for the Client.
