Our FIX-R GRP system is ideal for creating flat roofs.

The FIX-R GRP flat roofing system is made up of a number of different elements, which, when used together, are backed by our 20 or 25 year material warranties*:

  • •  The fibreglass reinforcing fibres within the chopped strand mat, gives the system its strength and stability
  • •  The liquid based catalysts enable you to control the curing times, making this system ideal for application in temperatures from 10-25ºC
  • •  The UV resistant topcoat offers a tough, seamless finish

This incredibly versatile system can be moulded around different shapes such as upstands, making it suitable for use on a variety of roofs making it an alternative to traditional materials such as bitumen, felt and lead.

GRP SYSTEM

PREPARATION

GRP Woven Glassfibre Tape

This tape is used to bandage the joints in square edged OSB, join edge trims and corners together and cover/fill small gaps, producing a clean and neat finish.

Available in 50m rolls and in widths of 50mm and 75mm.

GRP Roof Resin

This is the base resin layer that is used to go onto clean, dry OSB 3.

Available in 10kg and 18kg ℮.

GRP Roof Catalyst

The Catalyst is mixed with the Resin to start the reactive curing process before the mixture is then applied to the timber deck and over the pre-applied tape.

Available in 1kg and 5kg ℮.

GRP Chopped Strand Mat (CSM)

Chopped Strand Mat is used in the layering and continuous lamination of FIX-R GRP installations. It is applied to the wet surface and a further coat of resin is applied on top of the CSM, which is then sanded and left to cure.

600GSM | 13.75m, 27.5m & 55m Roll Lengths | 25 Year Material Warranty when used as part of the system

FINISHING

GRP Roof Topcoat

The final layer within the system is the topcoat which is applied to protect the roof and give it a smooth, seamless finished appearance.

GRP Roof Catalyst

Catalyst is added to the topcoat to start the reactive curing process and the mixture is applied to the roof.

An alternative catalyst that provides a faster cure speed particularly during the winter months or in cooler conditions throughout the year.

Acetone is used to clean uncured resin and topcoat from brushes, rollers and other tools.
